Director Duo (Andreas Salmoyraghi & Rafael López Saubidet)
Andrés and Rafa have been friends since they were 14 years old. They were born in Argentina but have been around the world quite a bit since their early days. They studied cinema in New York together, lived wall-to-wall as if they lived in the Melrose Place set of Buenos Aires, and were even part of a football team called the Ninjas. But their professional career started in separate places.

As young directors they were part of two of the biggest and rival production companies in Argentina and even pitched for the same job against each other several times. Rafa was the first to leave the country and moved to London where he spent several years while Andrés moved to L.A. for his share of solo adventure. And then, fate
put them in the same country again, Spain.

Individually, Andrés has obtained many international awards such as the Young Directors Award in Cannes 2012, The One Show, the New York Festival, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Wave Festival Rio de Janeiro, FIAP festival Miami and El Sol de San Sebastian in Spain, as well as being named best director in Argentina

As for Rafael, his commercials have been awarded in Festivals such as Cannes (he had 2 Gold Lions by the age of 24), London International Awards, Clio, San Sebastián, Lápiz de Oro, Fiap and Circulo de Creativos, amongst others.

Since they both found themselves in Madrid, they took the relationship further and finally became a directing duo—between them, they’re an award-winning powerhouse. They complement each other greatly and with more than 20 years of friendship they are able to communicate almost without talking. Their first project together was the Christmas Lottery ad which was considered the most important ad campaign of the year in Spain, which has cemented their status as a directing duo.
