Gracie Otto
Gracie’s work with prestigious international brands stands out for its bold visual style, empowered female leads and iconic fashion, so it is not surprising that she is one of Australia’s most respected young filmmakers.
She is the daughter of theatre actor Barry Otto and sister of film and television actress Miranda and although an actress herself, Gracie’s success has been predominantly on the other side of the camera since completing an Advanced Diploma in Film at the renowned Sydney Film School in 2006.
Gracie’s acclaimed documentary ‘The Last Impresario,’ which celebrates the life of British producer and playboy Michael White, had its world premiere at the 2013 BFI London Film Festival and was nominated for the prestigious Australian Academy AACTA Awards for Best Feature Documentary.
In the last two years, Gracie directed an impressive slate of television commercials for clients like Maybelline, Neutrogena, TRESemmés, Bonds, Sportsgirl and Westfield. Her most recent feature film ‘Seriously Red’ with Krew Boylan, Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale premiered at the 2022 SxSW while her most recent documentary feature ‘Under the Volcano’ about legendary Beatles producer George Martin was selected at SxSW and released globally by Universal Pictures.
Gracie is one of Australia’s A-List celebrities and has an extensive portfolio of social, charity and ambassador roles which include high-end brand associations including Mulberry, G-Star, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Acne, Hermes, Audi and Moet & Chandon. With her considerable public profile Gracie has also attracted thousands of followers on social media – Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Gracie has a number of film projects in various stages of development through her own company Ralf Films and a new company, Dollhouse Pictures, in partnership with Rose Byrne, Jess Carrera, Krew Boylan and Shannon Murphy.
